Exploring nature, landscape, light and flux.
Welcome, I’m Megan.
My work explores what it means to be human. The moments of stillness, uncertainty, and quiet connection that shape our inner landscapes. Drawing from nature’s forms and rhythms, I use colour, tone, and texture to find balance within flux. When words fall short, painting becomes a way through: a language of marks and movement that recentres, steadies, and creates space to breathe.

-

'Misted light'
Oil on canvas - SOLD
‘Misted Light’ reflects the gentle shift from winter into spring, as rain renews the earth and invites new growth and quiet hope.
-

'Resilience'
Oil on canvas - SOLD
‘Resilience’ explores the feeling of sinking and surfacing — the storms we weather, the moments of free‑fall, and the steady return to ourselves as life rights itself again.
-

'Ebb'
Oil on canvas - SOLD
Shown in the West Studios Emerging Artists 2023 exhibition, ‘Ebb’ reflects the transient nature of weather, seasons, and emotion. Some feelings pass softly; others stay with us. This piece captures the ebbing movement between those shifting inner states.
-

'Scattered Blue'
Oil on canvas
‘Scattered Blue’ draws inspiration from the Kingfisher, whose vivid blues are created not by pigment but by light scattering through its feathers. The piece explores the quiet alchemy of nature — how light, season, and structure work together to reveal beauty. It’s a reminder to trust nature’s timing, and the subtle ways it brings things into balance.

'All Waves Settle'
Oil on arches paper - SOLD
‘All Waves Settle’ was inspired by a moment atop Blackpool pier’s Ferris wheel, looking down at the waves rising and crashing beneath. Watching them repeat their rhythm mirrored they turbulence of past years — the uncertainty, the collective challenges, the personal crashes we all weather. But as I watched, the tide eventually calmed. The waves softened. It was a quiet reminder that nothing lasts forever, even the hard things; in time, all waves settle.
-

'Iridescence'
Oil on canvas
‘Iridescence’ explores the shifting colours and brief glimmers of light that surface in stillness — a reminder to find beauty in the moment.
