About: Inspired by a reference photo I took on a trip to Blackpool last summer. I looked down from atop the Ferris wheel on the pier and saw the waves swelling and crashing beneath me. For a while I sat and watched them crash and fall over and over, and got thinking. It feels like the whole world has been on a crazy ride these past few years, we’ve had a pandemic, there’s conflict across the world, people’s mental health has suffered, the list goes on - we’ve all had so many crashes to face.

But as I sat and watched the water for a while, eventually the tide calmed and righted itself, the waves settled. And it was a comforting reminder that nothing lasts forever, even the hard things.
